Laser-engraved leather patches, glued
This is our standard patch and the one on most hats we ship. The logo is engraved into the leather surface, the outline is cut on the same laser, and the patch is bonded to the hat with our own heat process. $8.00 per patch at 12-23, $5.00 at 144+.
How it is made
- We load your vector file and set engrave depth for the leather color.
- The OMTech 80-watt CO2 laser engraves the logo and cuts the outline in one pass.
- Patches are cleaned, checked against the proof and stacked.
- Each patch is positioned on the hat and bonded with our heat process on a two-platen VEVOR hat press.
What engraving looks like
On tan and natural leather, engraved areas darken to brown or near-black. On dark leather, the engraved areas go lighter. Either way the logo is in the leather, not printed on it, so it does not peel or crack. Fine lines engrave well; see the artwork guide for the few things that do not.

Add the blank hat for an all-in price: a Richardson 112 is $13.50, so $21.00 each at 24 and $18.50 at 144. No digitizing or setup fee on laser patches. Full tables on the pricing page.
Durability
A glued patch on a structured hat holds up to daily wear, sweat and rain. If the hat will be machine-washed, worn in a shop with solvents or dragged through brush every day, ask for a sewn patch; it is $1 more. Our patches have been in the field since 2020.
Questions
Is there a setup fee for a leather patch?
No. We engrave directly from your vector file. Digitizing ($18.99) applies only if you add embroidery.
What is the minimum?
There is no minimum. Pricing starts at the 12-23 tier and breaks every 24 pieces.
Will the patch come off?
Not in normal wear. For hard daily use or frequent washing, choose sewn-on for $1 more per hat.
